He won as Mr. Number One in a talent search conducted by Sampaguita Pictures (with Amalia Fuentes as his female counterpart) and was eventually introduced in the film Prince Charming with Amalia though the lead roles were played by Ric Rodrigo and Gloria Romero.

He married Gloria Romero but searated from her for ten years. He died in 2005.

Gloria Borrego Galla was born in 1933 in Denver Colorado, to a hardworking Filipino, Pedro Galla, and an American woman, Mary Borrego. Her elementary education was spent in Mabini Elementary School and she graduated from Riverview High School in Mabini, Pangasinan.

She was considered Queen of the Philippine Movies during her time and she received several acting awards.

She married actor Juancho Gutierrez after they met during a movie. Her daughter Maritess Gtuierrez joined showbiz briefly before marrying and settling in the US. After her divorce from the husband, Maritess with the son Chris Qutierrez Balbin who also joined the movies came back to the Philippines.


Juancho Gutierrez and Gloria Romero have a daughter who also joined the movie industry.

Vilma Santos (born Maria Rosa Vilma Tuazon Santos November 3, 1953) is a popular multi-awarded actress and politician in the Philippines. She's known as the "Queenstar" and "Star for All Seasons". She is currently governor of Batangas.

Before Ralph Recto, she married EDU MANZANO.

Eduardo Barrios Manzano was born on September 14, 1955 in San Francisco, California to Filipino parents. Due to his parentage (jus sanguinis) and the place of his birth (jus soli), he is both a citizen of the Philippines and the United States under the constitutions of both countries.
At the age of 17, Manzano joined the United States armed forces, serving for four years.
Manzano moved to the Philippines to pursue a full-time career with the local movie industry.

Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos has a son, Luis Manzano who is also in the show business.

LUIS MANZANO

Luis Philippe Santos Manzano (born April 21, 1981 in San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines), also known by his nickname Lucky, is a Filipino actor, TV host, VJ and model. He is the son of award-winning actors, Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos.
Manzano started his career as a commercial model for clothing brand, Human. He later pursued his TV hosting and acting career under the ABS-CBN management.

Pancho Magalona -Tita Duran

 Pancho Magalona was born  Enrique Gayoso Magalona, Jr. on 1921 in the southern Philippine province of Negros Occidental and was the son of Philippine Senator Enrique B. Magalona, Sr.

He married Tita  Duran and they were the most popular love team in the movies.

 

Pancho and his real life wife Tita Duran, appeared in numerous Sampaguita Pictures movies.
They were the parents of the singer-raper-actor Francis Magalona.

Pancho Magalona  co-starred on some Hollywood movies that were shot in the Philippines, such as The Hook (with Kirk Douglas) and Merrill's Marauders (with Jeff Chandler).

He won the Famas Best Actor Award in 1958 for "Hanggang sa Dulo ng Daigdig" and is best remembered for playing the character Simon in the movie version of Jose Rizal's novel El Filibusterismo.

Suffering from emphysema for a year, he later died at Lung Center of the Philippines in April 1998

Mat Ranillo Jr-Gloria Sevilla

Mat Ranillo Jr and Gloria Sevilla were the King and Queen of the Visayan movies in the 50's.

Mat died in a plane crash in 1969, a year that was memorable for it was also when Gloria received her (and Visayan movies’) highest honor: a Best Actress award from both FAMAS and the 16^th Asian Film Festival in Djakarta where the film in which she starred, Badlis sa Kinabuhi, also won the award for Best Black-and-White Film.As the Visayan movies dclined, Gloria Sevilla joined the Tagalog movies.
They had seven children but only three followed the parents ' movie career in the movie industry.  They were:

She started at the age of 12 and received many awards in the Philipine movies either in the best actress or best suorting category. She also used the name Nadia Veloso.  She already migrated to the US.

Mat Ranillo III

He was introduced in the movie by Marcial Sanson when he was about to finish his studies.  Mat became a leading man to all the top movie actresses, such as: Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Lorna Tolentino, Alma Moreno, Vivian Velez, and Alona Alegre, to name a few.  Mat has won the Famas (the most prestigious movie industry award-giving body in the Philippines) for Best Supporting Actor in 1979 and Best Actor the following year.

Dandin Ranillo

 Dandin Ranillo is Matias Bonifacio Sevilla Ranillo. He is the singer/composer of the family.
