Mat Ranillo Jr-Gloria Sevilla

Mat Ranillo Jr and Gloria Sevilla were the King and Queen of the Visayan movies in the 50's.



Mat died in a plane crash in 1969, a year that was memorable for it was also when Gloria received her (and Visayan movies’) highest honor: a Best Actress award from both FAMAS and the 16th Asian Film Festival in Djakarta where the film in which she starred, Badlis sa Kinabuhi, also won the award for Best Black-and-White Film.As the Visayan movies dclined, Gloria Sevilla joined the Tagalog movies.
They had seven children but only three followed the parents ' movie career in the movie industry.  They were:

She started at the age of 12 and received many awards in the Philipine movies either in the best actress or best suorting category. She also used the name Nadia Veloso.  She already migrated to the US.

Mat Ranillo III

He was introduced in the movie by Marcial Sanson when he was about to finish his studies.  Mat became a leading man to all the top movie actresses, such as: Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Lorna Tolentino, Alma Moreno, Vivian Velez, and Alona Alegre, to name a few.  Mat has won the Famas (the most prestigious movie industry award-giving body in the Philippines) for Best Supporting Actor in 1979 and Best Actor the following year.

Dandin Ranillo



 Dandin Ranillo is Matias Bonifacio Sevilla Ranillo. He is the singer/composer of the family.

Suzette Ranillo, started at the age of 12 as an actress. She is well known for her awards and successes in film, television and theater. Born in Cebu City, Philippines to actors' Mat Ranillo Jr. and Gloria Sevilla (who later wed Amado Cortez). Her siblings are Maria Lilibeth Sevilla Ranillo aka Bebet Ranillo DeRivera, Matias Archibald Sevilla Ranillo III, to his friends and family "Archie," (a.k.a. Mat Ranillo III), Matias Jonathan Sevilla Ranillo IV aka Jojo Ranillo, Matias Bonifacio Sevilla Ranillo V aka Dandin Ranillo, Matias Junius Ferdinand Sevilla Ranillo VI aka Juni Ging Ranillo and Czareanah Mari Sevilla Cortez aka Inah Cortez Do.

She used the screen name Nadia Veloso.

Born in Cebu City, Philippines to actors' Mat Ranillo Jr. and Gloria Sevilla (who later wed Amado Cortez). Her siblings are Lilibeth Sevilla Ranillo, Mat Sevilla Ranillo III a.k.a.
