Ma. Isabel Lopez was proclaimed Bb. Pilipinas-Universe in 1982. Her witty answer to the question of Rita Gomez showed her to be one of the most articulate and liberal beauty queens.

For her final question, she was asked by a judge, the late actress Ms. Rita Gomez—if she was still a virgin at that time and she replied by asking back, "Will it make me win the crown if I said yes?" The contestant, Maria Isabel Lopez, was proclaimed the 1982 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe.

She was almost disqualified from representing the Philippines in the Miss Universe Pageant for being a former Gerard Peter model. In 1983, she was launched as a movie star in a big budgeted movie Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon. She co-starred with
with a big cast headed by Hilda Koronel, Dindo Fernando, Lorna Tolentino, Anthony Castelo and Jay Ilagan. Hwe movie Isla, a very controversial movie directed by Celso Ad Castillo. Isla, ECP production, installed Ms. Lopez as the new bold star.

After being away for six years in the early 90's and two years in the early 2000, she is again active in the television.

—She appeared in Tansan, a spoof on the popular Tarzan character opposite comedy king Dolphy and Barilan sa Baboy Koral, another spoof of a classic Americana western which starred Jose Mari and Rodolfo “Boy” Garcia. Her husband Romano Castellvi also entered showbiz.

Prospero Luna (April 20, 1931-July 23, 2010) is a Filipino character actor whose career has extended from the 1960s into the 2000s.

Among his best known performances are a long-running role in the popular Philippines series Buhay Artista.

Among Luna's best known films are three 1968 titles—Swinging Jet–Age, Gigolo–Gigolet–Nagkagulo–Nagkagalit and Buhay bombero, as well as the title role in the Dolphy comedy Dr. Yes.




Luna emigrated to the United States to live in Oroville, California with his daughter Leilani (with former Larry Santiago Productions starlet Zeny Buena.In 2008 he featured in the American independent comedy picture Corky's Hot Ice.

The actor's last television appearance was in ABS-CBN's “Maalaala Mo Kaya” last year. The MMK episode titled "Cap" was one of the 5 anniversary episodes of MMK.

Three of the special episodes, including "Cap," were shot in the US.

He passed away on July 23, 2010 at the age of 79 due to stroke.

Claudia Zobel was only 19 when she died in a car accident Thelma Maloloy-on who was from Mandaue was brought to the Makati Medical Center on February 10 1984 after her Mitsubish Colt flipped and hit another car. She was with three relatives and was going home at 4:30 am coming fom a nightspot.

Her first picture was Shame. Initially it was banned by the censors board but later allowed to be shown with cuts. She was under contract with Regal Films.


Friends and acquaintances of the actress said she had been depressed the past few days over her breakup with her boyfriend, a certain “Jeffrey.”


Brocka took her for a plum guest role in the movie Brocka was making that time for Cannes, Kapit sa Patalim.
